Lashing straps made by Dolezych

Flexible lashing straps made from polyester fabric according to DIN EN 12195-2 and VDI 2700ff are very popular, because they are easy to use. Lashing straps make transport and material flow cost-effective and are recommended for load securing, because they resist high drag, are lightweight, protect the surface, and have a long durability. With lashing straps, loads can be strapped, kept together and secured on transport vehicles. They are rot-resistant, rust-free, hardly absorb humidity and are therefore extremely firm as well as protected against abrasion due to a special impregnation. Due to the relatively low weight, they can be fitted quickly and easily. Lashing belts are also used in internal transportation. Caution: Only values measured by a pre-tension force indicator (e. g. DoMess 1-3) and values exceeding the STF indication on the tag can be used to determine the number of lashing systems. DoMulti long lever long handle ratchet helps to reach pre-tension forces up to 1000 daN. Alternatively, DoMess 2 can be loosely attached to the webbing and so the pretension force on the other side of the tensioner element (ratchet) can be displayed. By default, DoMess2 is firmly attached to the ratchet and the pre-tension force of the lashing strap can be easily read (scale grades in measures of 250 daN, up to 1000 daN).    

Hooks for lashing straps

Dolezych lashing straps are available with the following types of hooks:   All lashing systems are available with individual imprint. A low quantity ordered is printed according to standards whereas high quantities are printed according to your print master layout. Writings can also be woven into the material. Heavy load securing – lashing straps for heavy loads

Caution: For heavy loads, lashing systems can only be used for diagonal lashing. On the tag, no STANDARD TENSION FORCE ( STF) value is indicated.

Faster lashing saves time:  Frequent loading and unloading operations often mean to the driver time-consuming feeding the webbing into the ratchet, tightening, loosening, unloading and possibly removing the webbing from the ratchet.

How the DoRapid ratchet works  

1. Closed ratchet In closed ratchet the side gate is locked.

2. Open ratchet, release lock By opening the ratchet (bringing the manual lever in release position) the locking mechanism disengages and the side gate can be opened.  

3. Insert webbing via opened side gate The webbing can easily be loaded sideways into the spool.                  

4. Close side gate After the webbing is inserted, the side gate must be closed again.                

5. Lock side panel with ratchet By closing the hand lever, the side gate is locked and the ratchet is ready to use.    

Tie down lashing strap DoTension

The special feature of the DoTension lashing straps: the first lashing strap especially for lashing down!

A new lashing strap has been developed for lashing down. The Premium webbing with the imprint DoTension is uncompromisingly tailored in its structure and fabric construction to the requirements for lashing down. The result: The straps attain a tensioning force of up to 420 daN higher than a standard lashing strap, equivalent to an increase of 140%. Thanks to the higher tensioning force of the DoTension, fewer lashing straps need to be used. Do2Step … the easy and safe way to avoid accidents that can be caused by instable, sliding, and tilting loads when opening the lashing devices.   Your advantages:

• No hazards due to shifting or tilting loads.
• No risk of injury due to the so-called whiplash effect, because the webbing is not released all at once when the ratchet is loosened.
• Comfortable handling. Due to the long lever and the number of teeth (20 instead of 11) and the principle of pulling instead of pushing, your vertebral column is not excessively stressed.
• Efficient because highest pre-tension forces can be easily achieved (1000 daN and more).
• Quick because due to the high pretension forces, the number of lashing systems can be minimized. This helps to save time and money.
• With the automatic refeeding, the ratchet can be immediately be used again

  Function:

• In the first step, the webbing is automatically untightend by means of a safety slide without loosening the lashing devices. Any tilting of the load is still avoided by the lashing devices.
• The load can easily be controlled. No shifting or tilting of loads.
• In cases of hazard, the Do2Step ratchet can be tightened again or the load can be secured by means of lifting slings.
• When there is no danger of tilting or shifting load, the lashing systems can be finally opened in the second step.

Do2Step ratchet vs. standard ratchet

What are the advantages of the Do2Step ratchet compared to a conventional standard ratchet? What are the advantages of the Do2Step ratchet compared to a conventional standard ratchet? With a conventional standard ratchet, the lashing strap can only be released in one step. Possible tilting or shifting of the load can not be controlled. When a standard ratchet is carefully opened and so the tension is removed from the webbing, the operator always has to take care that there are enough windings on the winding shaft for each and every lashing strap. According to directions, at least 1,5 windings must be on the wrapping shaft so that the webbing cannot slip out. In cases of false estimate, the load can tilt. Just try to estimate the number of windings on the winding shaft of a tightened ratchet! You will see that it does not work. The Do2Step ratchet is not released by means of the winding shaft, but with the help of an extra safety slide.

Apropos: The Do2Step ratchet is an innovation based on the well-proven DoMulti long lever ratchets. For several years, these ratchets with pretension force indicators have successfully been used by the German Army and NATO.

The long lever (350mm) and the ideal transmission ratio (4 cog wheels with 20 teeth) of the ratchet enables easy handling so that high pretension forces can be achieved. DoMulti is wear resistant, durable and robust. Easy to release tension – safe construction

DoMess 1 pretension force measuring device

The integrated patent-registered pretension force indicator DoMess 1 with 50 special disc stirrup enables a constant control of the pretension forces. The pretension forces are displayed in steps of 250 daN. This guarantees an optimal safety during transport!

Strap connector

The short part is not sewn on the ratchet, so the length can be flexibly adjusted. Defective lashing systems can easily and quickly be replaced without sewing.

(no bolts or eyebolts) The patent-registered gripping mechanism enables a safe grip of the lashing systems in the blink of an eye. The webbing is fed in and removed without the use of tools. A webbing that has to be removed from service can simply be replaced. The fitting parts of customary lashing systems are sewn on the webbing. The DoVario system needs no sewing. The accurate attachment of the hooks is done by means of screwin-swivels and strap connector.

DoVario 2 – Modular system

The DoVario modular system conforms to the DoVario 1 system (pages 120 – 121) except the fact that the DoVario 2 system is additionally equipped with the Do2Step long handle ratchet.

Do2Step – long handle ratchet

Controlled pre-relaese of tension guarantees safe opening of the long handle ratchet. No whiplash effect. When opening the ratchet the teeth are not stressed. The pre-release of tension is done by an extra slide and not by the winding shaft – this means a reduced wear. Due to the automatic refeeding, the ratchet immediately is ready for use again.
